Yellow Oxide PY42

An inorganic iron oxide yellow, a synthetic brother of the naturally occurring yellow ochre pigment. It has a french mustard like hue that when paired with blues or bright greens, can produce some convincing landscape greens.  Similarly mixed with reds it can create subtle autumnal burnt oranges.  This ProChroma version is milled to a fine particle size and is translucent in masstone, however it quickly becomes opaque when tinted with even small amounts of white.
