ProChroma Anti-Mould Additive is a powerful anti-mould agent (also known as a biocide/fungicide). A colourless, odourless liquid for adding to paint formulations that are prone to spoiling, this most often occurs when keeping paint wet for an extended duration. But is also crucial when formulating natural binders such as Gum Arabic solution or Casein emulsion. These binders contain complex sugars or proteins that are a banquet for mould and bacteria. Contamination with microorganisms can often cause fermentation or spoilage that changes consistency and appearance or a foul smell but no other significant harm, However it could equally be contaminated by some very harmful
Recommended usage.
Add 1 or 2 drops per 25ml, or 8 to 10 drops per 100ml of mixed paint or binder, to prevent spoilage from mould.
Effective at suppressing mould growth in wet paint for at least 12 months,
Where wet paint is kept wet/moist in sealable containers and topped up intermittently with fresh paint from the tube, add a drop of Anti-Mould Additive and stir in, each time the paint well is topped up, to maintain the effectivity.
